Our Approach to Learning Design
-
We begin by designing the underlying learning architecture—aligning business goals with learner outcomes through a structured instructional framework.
Using methodologies such as backward design, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and constructive alignment, we define clear learning objectives, competency levels, and measurable outcomes.
From there, we map the learner journey—structuring content into modular, digestible pathways that support knowledge acquisition, retention, and application.
This phase ensures that every piece of content is purposeful, sequenced, and optimized for real-world impact.
-
With the strategy defined, we translate expertise into a cohesive, scalable curriculum.
We develop story-driven learning experiences that integrate cognitive load theory, adult learning principles (andragogy), and multimodal content design to enhance engagement and comprehension.
This includes:
scripting and narrative development
visual and experiential design
interactive elements and reinforcement strategies
Our approach ensures that complex ideas are transformed into clear, compelling, and accessible learning experiences.
-
We bring the curriculum to life through high-quality production and platform-ready delivery.
From cinematic video production to LMS integration, we design content for seamless deployment across platforms such as SCORM/xAPI-compatible systems, membership sites, and digital learning environments.
Post-launch, we support learning analytics, performance tracking, and iterative refinement—ensuring the content continues to evolve based on learner behavior and outcomes.
The result is a polished, scalable learning experience designed for both engagement and long-term impact.
Some Courses We Brought Into the World:
Story-Driven Learning • Designed for Retention • Built for Impact

Story-Driven Learning • Designed for Retention • Built for Impact *
Our approach to story-driven learning is grounded in both proven learning science and real-world production experience—but it didn’t start as a framework. It started as an observation.
Time and again, we saw the same pattern: brilliant ideas, meaningful missions, and deeply knowledgeable experts… presented in ways that people simply couldn’t stay connected to. The information was there—but the impact wasn’t.
We began asking a different question:
What makes something truly land?
The answer wasn’t more content—it was better design. Not just visual design, but the design of the learning experience itself.
By combining narrative structure with instructional design principles, we shape content the way people naturally process and remember information. We guide audiences through a journey—building curiosity, creating emotional connection, and reinforcing key ideas at the right moments. Drawing on frameworks like cognitive load theory and adult learning principles, we ensure that what’s being shared is not only engaging, but digestible and usable in the real world.
This is where storytelling becomes essential. Because people don’t remember slides—they remember moments. They remember tension, transformation, and meaning.
So rather than simply delivering information, we design experiences that engage audiences both emotionally and intellectually. The result is content that holds attention, improves retention, and creates a lasting impression—ensuring ideas are not only seen, but remembered and applied.
Learning Retention Over Time
Case Study: Body as Healer, Course for Sounds True
Produced in collaboration with Dr. Peter A. Levine, PhD + Sounds True
To bring this course to life, we partnered closely with the subject matter expert to design both the learning experience and the production approach from the ground up.
Filmed in a dedicated studio environment near Peter’s home, we produced a multi-camera shoot using a three-camera setup—allowing for dynamic coverage, visual variation, and a more engaging viewing experience. This approach created a sense of presence and flow, helping the content feel conversational rather than static.
Beyond production, our work extended into ongoing curriculum development. We collaborated to shape the structure, pacing, and delivery of the material—ensuring each concept built clearly on the next and aligned with how people actually learn.
The goal was not simply to capture information, but to design an experience that would truly engage students and support meaningful outcomes.
By combining thoughtful production with intentional learning design, the result is a course that holds attention, deepens understanding, and helps learners apply what they’ve learned in a real and lasting way.
